The Artist

Anthony Walker is a poet based in Madison, WI. His primary form is the cento. His centos cover a wide selection of topics, but he’s most interested in radical and anti-imperialist themes.

The Approach

Anthony’s centos are formed of lines relating to a particular theme. Each poem consists of ten lines. Each line is cited by author and source text, using footnotes. No poem contains two lines from the same author or source. The lines are arranged to produce a consistent, aesthetically pleasing shape.
